Under CAP reform which took effect on 1 January 2005, the Single Farm Payment Scheme (SFPS) replaces all the production based subsidy schemes introduced under the previous two rounds of CAP reform. 

The 13-page leaflet is intended to act as a simple guide to the SFPS and to assist farmers and crofters with key decisions in the run up to submission of their 2005 IACS forms. SAC has advised clients to read the leaflet in conjunction with official guidance and any correspondence issued by the Scottish Government to producers.
