The variety Ben performed poorly in the 2008 trials with a yield well below its overall mean yield (2002 - 2008).
The SAC spring bean variety trials, funded by the PGRO voluntary pulse levy have been carried out at two sites per year since 2002. The sites are situated in the Aberdeen and Edinburgh areas.
