The Scottish Government is funding extensive R&D in potato pathology (potato crop protection) and potato breeding.

The results of trials and demonstrations are published in the SAC Potato Newsletter, a quarterly magazine produced by SAC.

Recommendations are made by SAC and are based on data collected as part of the HGCA Recommended Lists’ system.
