Are aphids on the wing

Check crops for aphids which may have begun to take to the wing and fly into crops during the warm weather.

Peach-potato aphids (Myzus persicae) have been flying into crops , but cool, unsettled weather will slow them down.

Growers should be checking seed potato crops regularly for the presence of aphids, and consider beginning their aphid control programme if aphids are present.
