General Description
Black-grass is becoming more common occurrence in Scotland, possibly a result of mild winters and a move towards reduced tillage cultivations.
Black-grass has been appearing more frequently in SE Scotland and Northumberland.

Advice
If you have the problem appearing we recommend that action is taken quickly to reduce its spread on the farm.
It is a complex area and we recommend that you should call in your local SAC Agricultural Adviser to discuss long–term management of what is potentially a serious and expensive problem.
