Janet Swadling joined SAC in 1996 as Deputy Secretary/Head of Administration at SAC’s Edinburgh Campus having previously served as College Secretary at North West Kent College, Senior Administrator at the London Stock Exchange and Divisional Officer at the Institution of Electrical Engineers.

Having held a number of positions in SAC, she is now the Finance and Corporate Affairs Director.  She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a Trustee Director to the Citrus Pension Scheme and a Member of the Secretaries Group, Universities Scotland. 

Originally a Modern Languages graduate, she gained an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in 1998.
